Dinos & Fossils

What a fun field trip! Ally's class went to the dinosaur museum in Vernal so went along for fun. Kai and Kenyon had never been to the dinosaur museum before. They both loved it.

Snug Wittew Nest

Kai has taught Kenyon how to make a "snug wittew nest" (snug little nest).

It's all a guy needs...a snug wittew nest, his remote, his toast and crackers and his fingers to suck on. Perfect napping spot!

"I'll make you a great deal!"

Would you buy a used car from this guy?

Would you buy a car from him?

All the kids are doin' it!

These hair flowers are all the rage at Neola Elementary these days. We just HAD to get on board!

Party Like a Rock Star!

Hey Everybody! Ally Rook is 7 years old! Happy 7th Birthday, Ally! When someone told her to "Party like a Rock Star" on her birthday they must have meant it literally because that's exactly what she did. She partied like a Rock Star and didn't go to bed until her birthday was good and over at midnight.

Ally has always been a talkative little cutie so when people would ask her when her birthday was she'd happily answer, "April Teenth!". So, this April Teenth, Ally got a karaoke machine for her birthday.

A Karaoke Macine!!

And what do you do with a karaoke machine? Well you have a Rock Star Birthday Party, of course!! And you put that machine to good use. First you invite all your friends and have everyone dress up like a rock star....

Your little brothers and cousins too....

and just be CRA-AAAA-ZAY! (if you could actually hear me say that it would be so much more effective. LOL)

And THAT is how you throw a proper Rock Star Party! It was so much fun. Everyone sang. Everyone danced and even my parents karaoke-eed. A good time was had by ALL. the neighbors thought something was amiss at mom's house though. One of the parents stayed for a while and he's a Highway Patrol Trooper so his patrol car was out front and then my husband's big ol' water truck was parked across the road with its flashers on, there were tons of cars and the neighbors thought something bad was going down across the street. If only they had stopped by! Can you picture Dusty's mom and dad Stomp Stomp Clapping along with Queen on "We Will Rock You?" lol

What a Winter!

I'll admit it. I love winter. I'm really sad to see it go. I love all that fluffy white snow. I detest Spring and I'm not a huge fan of summer, although I really do love flowers, but Winter is my FAV season.

I loved my nearly buried pigpen

Loved my buried deck chairs and table

Loved my sagging trampoline and 2-3 foot snow depths

Didn't love the shed cave-in so much though

So, now it's spring and even though the temps are up one day and down the next day and the wind keeps the temperature well below 40 most days, all of our snow has gone. Now we are left to endure mud, wetness, dust and nasty wind and still dead looking trees. Spring sucks.
